My Heroes have always been MEN. My Father (Mr. Ashley); My Uncles (Masons and U.S. Army Men); and My Brother (James who spent 28 years in the U.S. Air Force). However…occasionally, there have been MEN (not related to me) that I, Renee Ashley Baker, DO admire and respect and Muhammed Ali was (and is) one of those MEN. Muhammed Ali and Me go back a long way. I, never met him of course but I, Renee Ashley Baker, remember him before he became Muhammed Ali; I, Renee Ashley Baker, remember him back when he was Casius Clay. I, Renee Ashley Baker, was watching when Casius Clay (aka Muhammed Ali) re-took his title (and became “America’s Champion”). I, Renee Ashley Baker, remember all the “hoopla” and the “chants” that resounded wherever Muhammed Ali went: “Ali Ali Ali”…. And…. yes, I, Renee Ashley Baker, actually saw the “Thriller in Manilla”. I, Renee Ashley Baker, actually bought tickets (or got my tickets paid for as I really don’t remember now) and we all know how the “Thrilla in Manilla” went…you got to your seat (in the theatre) sat down, then stood up again—and left…LOL. Yep, those were the “good ole, good ole” days. Muhammed Ali made rich by Roone Arlidge (at ABC). Muhammed Ali, his houses and his cars; Muhammed Ali, his wives and his girlfriends (remember Portia? the divorce? the settlement to the first wife? It was ALL THAT and a bag of PATE !…) Of course, by this time, I, Renee Ashley Baker, had moved away from home. I, Renee Ashley Baker, was age 17 1/2 and was living outside the state of Colorado with “various MEN”; and it was these “various Men” who taught me “the fight game”….And, it was ABC Sports, Roone Arlidge and Howard Cossell that made Muhammed Ali “Rich”. Boxing, like I said, was something I learned about from my “various boyfriends” and LOVERS; I learned from MEN who “watched the fights” when the “fights” would come on TV. (It was one of these MEN–these “boyfriends” who taught me what “Rabbit Punching” was….LOL.) It (the fight game) went from ABC TV to Pay-TV (Showtime) then to Pay-Per-View. There was a period when Las Vegas ran boxing (and I, Renee Ashley Baker, always hated Las Vegas. I, Renee Ashley Baker, had co-workers who’d invite me to Las Vegas for their every weekend “Las Vegas fun trips” but I, Renee Ashley Baker, always said “NO”)…..Steve Wynn bought boxing and everybody made money EXCEPT the “Fighters”. Although for a while ….Mike Tyson had money, mansions and cars (remember Robin Givens of Sarah Lawrence? and her “battles” with the hangers-on about the “porta-potties”…LOL….What, by the way, did Robin Givens get in that divorce settlement? If, I recall correctly it was only a fraction of what she asked for). And….as we all know Mike Tyson went to prison and later admitted that he was broke (bilked/robbed by “promoters”) although he–Mike Tyson– was, at least he seemed, finally happy and “funny” when I saw him on ABC TV’s “House Swap” TV show…..
SO, the last “fighter” that I saw fight was Sugar Ray Leonard (the Olympic champion) and of course I’ve promoted the “George Foreman Grill” on this Blog. (I’ve only read about the new Champ “Floyd Mayweather” on Judiciary Report. It seems he “hit the girlfriend” that he’d given a $60,000 Hermes handbag too….LOL….)

I, Renee Ashley Baker, can’t stand “American Sports” now. I, Renee Ashley Baker, hate the HGH crooks like Lance Armstrong and the various HGH “baseball cheats”. I, Renee Ashley Baker, hate the “so-called football players” like John Elway whose “shady” business deals involved “unsophisticated investors” who “lost their pension retirements”. I, Renee Ashley Baker, am leaving the United States because it (the United States) is allowing “4’9 Mexican Peppy” to “run things”. Well, Peppy isn’t “man enough” to run (to boss) Renee Ashley Baker, so, Renee Ashley Baker is going to Europe. I, Renee Ashley Baker am “moving to Europe” to get away from the “Squaw Village of Poor Women” that the United States has become. (73 Million Poor Women Reside In The United States Below The Poverty Line!)…

I, Renee Ashley Baker, am moving to France (moving to Europe) where the MEN are MEN!

RENEE ASHLEY BAKER’S RELATIVES: EVERY summer my Mother Erma/Irma (standing behind us all wearing the blue dress) would take us on “vacation”. First it was to Colorado. Then in later years Mother would vacation “annually” in New Jersey, in New York City (The Hamptons), in St. Louis and at the annual “Family Reunions”). Pictured above, starting at left is the little boy: He is an adult now and he was awarded a “commendation” by FBI Director Robert Mueller for exceptional police work (his office is in the J.Edgar Hoover Building in Washington DC); and he–the little boy–now has a son (Miguel) who is a Grammy Nominated musician, both he and his son (Miguel) reside in the “wealthy community” of Roswell Georgia. Next to him (in the yellow dress) is a “country club debutante Democrat” whose “sorority sister” wrote and published a “photo book” about President Obama’s 2009 “presidential campaigne”; Next to her (in the black & white check dress–with the “Harlequin” collar) is myself (Renee Ashley Baker); notice how everybody is looking forward except me I’m looking “askance” (with my astigmatism) at the “height”…. we’re all standing atop Royal Gorge Bridge….!
