        SO — -instead of having these “presidential candidates” just going from place to place and talking “you know what”….why not have them give the pretense of NOT making “hay seeds” out of all of us (US–as in U.S. –as in “United States”)….

     Why not make it “mandatory” that the candidates have to put forth some type of plan–on paper–for each “issue” that is before the American public. 

           THIS—is how it would work:  The U.S. government already gives “matching funds” to each candidates’  campaign.   I say– that from now on –  in order for each candidate to get matching funds –the candidate must “use the matching funds” to prepare “written plans”.    Such as “How I Plan To Create Jobs by Mitt Romney” or “How I Plan To Reverse The Housing Foreclosure Crises by Michelle Bachmann” or “How I Plan To Make Peace In The Middle East by Newt Gingrich”….

      This “blah de blah de blah” that has been traveling from place to place is ridiculous; especially–when world economies are crashing down upon  us.    To  THINK  — the so called “candidates”  are actually being  discouraged from “putting anything down on paper” !    HOW–can you have a plan for anything without it being put on paper ?

     Anyway, this–is my say on the matter (even though I promised to stay “out” of the 2012 “presidential election sideshow/fiasco” so that I can (a) work on my “novel trilogy” or  (b)  be a “programming v.p.” for Oprah Winfrey’s  OWN).      As In:

  COMPETITIVE   PROGRAMMING  ( Or — “Oprah Will Have One Too”).

1.  A Ladies Golf Tournament to be called  “LPGA’s   OWN”.

Oprah  Winfrey could easily “line up corporate  sponsors” for this “annual tournament” (and would of course hire my relative–the country clubber–to be an “on camera” hostess).

2.  An “Apprentice” clone to be called “Paging Miss O”.

A  “competition show” that would give Administrative Assistants, Personal Assistants, and Executive Secretaries (aka “Pages”) a chance to “win a job” at one of Oprah Winfrey’s companies.

3.  The   ”O  Table”. 

A “roundtable” type show whereby “celebrities” get to be “fiercely political”.  (A McNeil Lehrer  “talking head type show”  that would seat “newspaper journalists” along side  ”hot potatoes”  like Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, etc etc etc).

4.  “Follow  That   Scene”.

A summer “movie production competition” whereby   ”3 Teams” (of writer, producer, director, leading man, leading lady) will each produce a 5 minute ”scene”.     The writer can write WHATEVER  he or she wants. The catch is—that “each scene” must advance the movie (must advance the storyline) all the way to “THE END”.    And–each week the viewing audience will vote on which scene was “done best”.   The  “Winner”  —  would receive what?   Why a “Job”  working on a production at  Oprah Winfrey’s production company of course.
