ERIN GO BRAGH?

You don’t have to be in the Big Apple to celebrate with the Irish.  Erin, a tiny hamlet  in Western New York, puts on quite a bash, says resident Alice Britenbaker.  Irish dancers in costume perform, the fire department hosts a huge feast and the local historical museum opens its doors to remind everyone what life was like in the 19th and early 20th centuries….

JUST FOR LAUGHS:

Three hard of hearing Irish men in there 70’s are out  on the golf course.   The First Irish Man says, “Sure is windy ut isn’t it?”….The Second Irish Man says, “NO–it’s Thursday”….The Third Irish Man says, “Thirsty—me too–let’s go get somethin to drink!”….

IRISH RECIPES:  GREEN JELLO SHOTS

“Light Gelatin Shots”

1 package (4 serving size) JELL-O Brand Gelatin, in lime green flavor

1  cup boiling water

3/4  cup cold lemon line carbonated or sparkling beverage

1/4  cup cold liqueur (creme de mint)

DISSOLVE  gelatin in boiling water.  Add juice and liqueur.  Pour into 12 (2 ounce) souffle cups.  Chill until set, about 1 hour.  MAKES  12 servings.
